Winter Solstice Meditation | Return to Your Inner Wisdom and Intuition

Prepare to get cozy with me, yoga fam.

Today’s new meditation is devoted to the Winter Solstice that just happened yesterday. 

When you press play you’ll learn about the energetics of this season, and welcome the powerful void of wintertime where your intuition and wisdom are most poised to come online. 

Let’s talk energetics though, since you’re here and reading this. 

Winter is a time of outward darkness that mirrors the darkness we can uplift and connect to within.

It’s an invitation to embrace the healing power of the pause, turn inward and retreat, prioritize quiet time and introspection, receive nourishment, and respect your creatrix energy. 

Hence why we’re gathering for a guided meditation, the perfect practice to honor this season. 

When we intentionally settle into our winter season, we reveal our deepest layers of knowing, wisdom, and instinct, and as a result, it becomes easier to answer difficult questions, see obstacles as opportunities, connect with innovative and inspiring ideas, and create meaningful intentions to guide our actions in the coming seasons.

…side note, wintertime is also tied to the new moon, menstruation and the crone archetype or fourth stage of life, and wisdom & intuition are tied to the vijnanamayakosha and ajna chakra.

While it can be tempting to skip this wintertime process, we must remember that just like mother nature, we are seasonal creatures. 

We watch nature shed her leaves, bare her branches, and prepare for hibernation so she can preserve her energy, return to her seed of potentiality, and emerge refreshed for the next season.

We are just like her, and we too need restoration in order to spring forth and support our life’s greatest dreams and visions. 

During today’s meditation, we’ll revisit these energetics, connect with our soothing breath, and repeat the following affirmations as a way to welcome this healing, regenerative season. 

✨ I allow myself to pause and withdraw. 

✨ I accept rest and relaxation. 

✨ I listen to my inner wisdom. 

✨ I am a conduit for new ideas and innovation. 

✨ I am returning to my essence. 

Give yourself permission to have this winter season of healing, wisdom and intuition.

You’ve done enough, you have enough, now it’s time to rest. 

I’ll meet you in your ears to enjoy this season of wintering.
