Root Chakra Morning Flow to Feel Grounded

This yoga class is devoted to the muladhara chakra, which represents the base of your being, the foundation that supports everything, and the building block that provides strength, structure and stability for whatever else you’re pursuing.

The root chakra is your right to be safe and secure, to feel vibrant and well, to feel like you belong, to have what you desire, and to trust yourself, others and life at large.

But how do we exercise ☝🏽 these when our rights are being taken away? Or when we don’t feel safe to exist in the world?

We return to self-care basics and lean on life-sustaining practices.

These systems can include reconnecting to your physical body through powerful yoga asana that builds resilience, or restorative yoga that nourishes the nervous system, or meditation that sharpens your discernment.

These systems can include time spent in nature to uplift the root chakra earth element, time with community where belonging happens naturally, cleaning & caring for your physical home that provides shelter and safety, and choosing/cooking foods that vivify your body.

Even though the above might be considered “self-care basics”, we often need to be reminded how important these practices are when implemented.
