Welcome back to the mat.
And welcome to the YOGA BODY BOOTCAMP DAY 2, ready to continue?
Today’s yoga class is all about your booty and your legs, and just like yesterday, you will feel the burn. And also just like yesterday, there’s an important lesson to be learned.
Let’s revisit the tree analogy and start at the very bottom, at your roots.

Your roots, a tree’s roots, any living creatures roots serve as the foundation for all of life to rest upon. Without roots, life would be difficult and tumultuous. The changing seasons would knock you down, leave you torn apart, and possibly unable to get back up.
So just like your core, your roots need to be tended too.
In the human body, aka your beautiful body, there’s two ways to view your roots….. or two ways that I like to view them.

On an energetic and spiritual level, your roots encompass your basic, most primal needs being met. Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have food on your plate? Are you able to protect yourself from harms way? Do you feel safe and secure?
Now the second way I view my roots is through the physical body, specifically the pelvis and down to the ground. Without strong legs and a stable pelvis, there would be no yoga practice, no movement, and no walking to and from. But often times, we take our toes, ankles, legs, and glutes for granted.
Well yoga fam, not anymore!
When you step on the mat today, I challenge you to breathe through your perceived limits, tap into your strength, and practice appreciation for the stability and support that you have – both on your mat and off your mat.
