Welcome to the fifth meditation in our chakra energy aligning series.
Last week we built our capacity for self-love & connection with an anahata chakra meditation that included the shunya mudra & heart chakra affirmations to *stay open*.
If you missed it, experience it here.
Today’s guided meditation brings us to vishuddha, the throat chakra, where we’ll honor our right to speak our truth, be heard, express ourselves freely, and live authentically. We’ll do this by practicing the kali mudra and chanting over and over –
WHEN I SHARE MY STORY, I HELP OTHERS HEAL.
WHEN I SHARE MY STORY, I HELP MYSELF HEAL.
Let that affirmation above ☝🏽sink in for a moment before you experience it during today’s meditation.
What arises for you? How does it make you feel?
Here’s what’s arisen for me in the past (maybe you can relate)…
- Feeling afraid to share my story even though I know others will relate to me.
- Feeling nervous to receive criticism about my beliefs, teachings or offerings.
- Feeling like I have wisdom to share, but not sure how to articulate it confidently.
- Feeling like my inner critic won’t STFU, so I can’t quite hear clearly.
- Feeling misaligned with what I’m communicating, and therefore living inauthentically.
- And you’re definitely not alone in thinking that once you speak your truth, you’ll have to actually do the damn thing that you spoke (this is the scariest one for me).
I need you to know, at this very moment, I’ve been right beside you with all of these fears, feelings, and ways of thinking.
See for years now (literal years), I’ve wanted to coach yoga teachers in a business capacity. I’ve wanted to help them with their marketing, show them the online world, guide them past my mistakes, and help them expand their reach – both soulfully and financially.
But I was throttled by a deficient throat chakra that kept whispering…
“What will others think, someone’s already doing it, will yoga teachers trust me, will they purchase from me, how will I pull this off, my workload is already too much.”
So what got me from deficiency to a more balanced, throat chakra energy?
How did I make the shift from not sharing out of fear, to now launching a yoga teacher mentorship program and leading free yoga teacher coaching calls?
I kept talking about my dream with anyone willing to listen.
I kept investing in my own business and online marketing education.
I kept journaling and journaling and journaling my vision.
I kept believing it could happen, knowing damn well it will be imperfect and messy.
Take a page from my journey, yoga fam, and apply it to yours.
Using today’s meditation practice as a springboard, begin to find small ways to speak your truth, preferably in a safe setting that supports falling down and rising strong (shoutout to Brené Brown!).
Safe settings include trusted family members, friends, partners, colleagues, and maybe to people on social media.

This is my gentle nudge for you to challenge yourself.
And the challenge starts with today’s new throat chakra meditation.
Drop a “WHEN I SHARE MY STORY, I HELP MYSELF & OTHERS HEAL” in the comments so I know you’re up for it.
Whew, that was a lot! That’s the longest email I’ve sent in a while…
Now please find a seat to meditate with me.
I can’t wait to hear your truth,
Allie, xx
