Welcome to your Fall Equinox Slow Flow Vinyasa to Honor the Seasons.
Together we’ll honor this seasonal transition with an all levels slow flow vinyasa yoga class, designed to help you embrace change, face adversity and embody the fall season. We start with a full body warm up and movements for a healthy spine before moving through several sun salutations variations. After warming up we’ll continue to move in postures like balancing warrior, dynamic movements for strength, pyramid and revolved triangle. This yoga sequence for fall focuses on the themes of honoring the Fall Equinox through our movement practice!
The Fall Equinox, happening September 22, is a powerful energetic event that marks the beginning of a new season, a new quarter, a new story and really the final chapter of 2020.
It’s a moment in time where you can lean into Mother Nature and learn from her processes. During Autumn, the lightness and brightness of summertime fades to cooler and cozier temperatures which signals nature (and us) to prepare for winter and turn inward.
This energetic event is a beautiful opportunity to pause, process and plan for the season ahead, and this is exactly what we’ll do together during today’s class, which is centered around embracing change, allowing ourselves to change just like the seasons do.
So wherever you are right now, I want to invite you to take back your year while letting your yoga practice support your efforts.
As we move on the mat in your Fall Equinox flow, we’ll focus on dynamic movement, moving with breath and increasing breath capacity to increase our capacity to gracefully face adversity, difficulty and change.
And because I LOVE seasonal transitions and have based many of my yoga programs around these teachings, I’ve been dedicating all of my free September yoga classes to the Fall Equinox!
