Here’s what’s so interesting about this new morning yoga class.
I created it because I believe simplicity is deeply needed to combat our overstimulated, extremely distracted realities, and yet, I myself can’t seem to carve out just ten minutes on a regular basis. I have every intent to make myself a priority, heck I write it in my morning manifestation journal day after day, but when the time comes to put my words into actions….
Womp. Wommpppppp. Nothing happens.
And while there’s a slew of reasons as to why the action isn’t taken, I have a visceral feeling that one of the central reasons is the amount of available options, especially within the yoga space. I have SO MANY videos saved to watch later, meditations downloaded offline, exercises bookmarked on social media, podcasts to listen to, and inspiring emails waiting in my inbox.
Oh you too, you have no shortage of opportunities either?
Well then, what is the antithesis here? How can we transcend the overload, make a conscious decision, and take action that supports our evolution? While I don’t have all the answers, what I do know is that the age old adage to smart small, take baby steps, and be consistent is the best place to begin (as annoying as that advice might be). This is why your brand new yoga class is ONLY TEN MINUTES!

The sequences is a series of sun salutations that sync our movement with our breath. We raise our arms overhead to extend ourselves towards the potential we have, we fold into ourselves to go within, we strengthen and soften, we lunge and lengthen, and finally – we set an intention.
Now remember, the word intention comes from the root word “in tendre” and it means to stretch from within. As the class comes to completion and you transition to life off your mat, how can your chosen intention be a guiding light for your attention. Can the work you do in ten minutes be the constant reminder to return your attention back to your intention, so your day is filled with conviction and connection?
I ask these questions because I too wonder, is this really possible?

I’ve had many, many, many glimpses of the possibility, it’s definitely available, however it requires consistent practice, which brings me full-circle back to where we started. If we stuck with one practice, if we allowed our nervous systems to integrate that practice, and if we showed up for ourselves and allowed ourselves to have ten minutes over and over again, what would happen?
I have a knowing feeling that greatness would happen.
So with that said, may this new morning yoga class be the catalyst that leads to your greatness, may it provide a sequence that you can memorize and use when overwhelm arises, and may it provide the motivation to start a devotional morning practice or be the reminder to come back to the one you once had.
Now please unroll your mat and give yourself those ten minutes.
I’ll meet you there.
