Below is a quick yoga sequence to help open your hips, alleviate built up tension from sitting, release negative bullshit, and most importantly – make you feel good.
Let me repeat that last point, because it’s so important.
MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD.
As most of you know, I currently exist in the cube world, which involves way too much damn sitting, which results in tight hips, TIGHT hamstrings, and a tender lower back. It’s basically a death trap for your body…
Can you tell I’m a bit biased towards the cube, LOL.
And if you’re not in the exclusive cube club, don’t be fooled, you’re still vulnerable to all of the above. Sorry to break the bad news….
Here’s the deal – we are a culture of sitting. Our everyday habits have shifted from manual labor to the digital age of commuting and/or typing. We’re all part of this cultural shift and it’s hard to not be affected by it, sadly.
But there is a silver lining (per usual).
Because you are a conscious person, because you care about your beautiful body, because you understand that movement is crucial to your overall health, and because you’re committed to living your journey – you have the power to combat and reverse the sitting epidemic.
