Welcome to Day 4 of the Chakra Challenge.
Before we dive into this energy center, the bridge between our physical nature and our spiritual self, let’s check in.
How are you feeling thus far? What energetic shifts have you created? How is your body, mind, and soul reacting to the work?
Take a moment to answer these questions. Speak them out loud. Silently say them in your head. Or word vomit them on paper.
Today’s energetic center focuses on our heart, that big, beautiful beating heart that breathes life into our existence.
This center is our anahata chakra, the space where we experience love, compassion, connection, expansion, and integration.
It’s also a space that creates a bridge between the lower chakra centers (physical, more primal states) and the upper chakra centers (spiritual, more esoteric states). And just like how a bridge must be strong, balanced, and connected to both sides of the land, so too must our heart chakra center.
It’s an important one, to say the least, so let’s dive in.
Heart Chakra Chakra Must-Knows:
- Located at your heart center.
- The element is air 🌬️
- The related color is green, envision a glowing, expansive green light at your heart center.
- The bija manta is YAM.
Today’s yoga class will center on creating expansion through breath focused movement, gentle twists, and various heart opening postures (hello backbends, we’re coming for ya).
As we create expansion, I’ll continue to center our attention on the glowing green light, offering opportunities to truly feel and experience our heart’s potential, and sealing the practice with a seated meditation using the bija mantra – YAM.
This is going to be inspirational and impactful, let’s begin ➡️
