Grab Your Blocks: Gentle Yoga Class to Recalibrate

I filmed this class after a jam packed morning.

I was on fire šŸ”„ focused, completing my commitments, and feelingĀ really goodĀ about my progress!

But by the time I pressed record, I was pooped.

If it wasn’t for you, this community, and our weekly yoga class that I’m 100% committed to, I probably would’ve scrolled away the rest of my day.

But then something magical happened…

I unrolled my mat, set an intention, enlivened my breath (beyond usual chest breathing), moved deliberately, and as a result —

I stepped off the mat feeling recalibrated, re-engaged, and ready to complete my day!

This is the power of slowing down, softening on the mat, and allowing yourself to take a break.

In our capitalistic society, to align with all of the above is a pure act of rebellion, and yet it’s so easy to fall into theĀ “I can’t take a break, there’s no time”Ā mindset.

But here’s the thing…

We have pockets of time, we simply need to get smarter with how we fill them.

I’m not proud about my past or present choices when it comes to these pockets, but lately there’s an internal shift happening.

I’m realizing that the more I soften, the easier it is to take imperfect, heart-centered action.

It seems counterintuitive, but it isn’t!

For me, softening looks like a 30 minute meditation practice, attending a local sound bath, going to postpartum group therapy, and choosing slower asana classes.

When I do these ā˜šŸ½regularly, I’m so much more emboldened to do my physical therapy, ride the Peloton, and focus on the projects that really need my attention.

So fam, will you soften with me today (or sometime this week)?

Don’t be afraid to trade fast-paced flows for a gentler class. I promise that slowing down on your mat will only lead to greater growth & change off your mat.

If I’ve got you convinced, meet me on the mat.

Allie, xx
