Full-Body Yoga Stretch (with a strap) | Feel Expansive & Open

Grab your strap, you’re going to loveeeee this.

On the mat, I’ll guide you through a full-body yoga stretch where we’ll use a strap for the majority of the practice. By the end, you’ll feel expansive, open and able to embody your roles & responsibilities with more joy, clarity and ease.

(I’ll take all of ☝🏽 that, please!)

Here’s what you can expect when you carve out time to get your on mat this week:

➡️ Full-body yoga stretch sequence

➡️ Seated, standing, and supine postures all with the strap

➡️ Stretch your legs, side body, back body, and front-side body

➡️ End with a restorative savasana to integrate the practice

➡️ All you need is a strap or scarf, plus any additional preferred props.

Now why a strap? And why am I using it for the majority of the class?

It’s so common for yoga students to shy away from investing in and using props because they aren’t taught when or how to use them.

Learning the postures are intimidating enough, then there’s the breathing, alignment, affirmations, philosophical teachings, and other various elements layered in, which can make adding or subtracting a prop really 🤷🏽‍♀️ confusing.

I felt this way for many years, so I often avoided the studio prop station altogether.

But once you know when a prop is desired or needed, based on your unique experience, then it can uplift and support your on-the-mat practice.

This is why you’ll often see me incorporate them into my classes, so you can feel empowered to work with them.
