I’m a day late with your weekly practice because truthfully, this girl was plain outta gas.
Between a crappy cold and a heavy 🩸 flow, I’ve been taking it real slow to preserve what little energy I’ve had available.
(btw, being sick & still having to be a parent is a whole new ball game)
But I’m back with a beautifulllll practice that promises to not only supercharge ⚡ your energy, but also support your whole being.

Now let’s have a 💭 teacher to student chat…
When you and I show up to the mat, we often choose an asana class where we do the physical postures, so right off the bat we know our physical body is being tended to.
But in addition to this, we’re also always working with the subtle anatomy where the chakras 🌈 live, or what’s called the energetic body or the pranamayakosha.
Our subtle anatomy is incredibly influential, so much so that it shapes and animates both the physical body, and the mental & emotional reality that we’re experiencing (this is the manomayakosha, your psycho-emotional body).
So through today’s practice, we’re going to care for these first three layers (physical, energetic, mental/emotional), with the hopes that we step off our mats…

Feeling more connected to discernment, higher intellect, and intuition (our wisdom body, the vijnanamayakosha), and more available to experience moments of joy, radiance and bliss (our spirit body, the anandamaykosha).
So I just want to remind ALL OF US that while the poses are often front and center, the yoga practice is a holistic experience with much more happening beneath the surface.
