This is your full-body chakra yoga class that targets each energy center that lies within your subtle body. These energy centers are situated along your spinal column and are responsible for receiving, assimilating, and transmitting the life force energy that you experience on a daily basis.
….. a daily freaking basis, that’s a lot of energy to handle.
If you’re new to this system, welcome to your chakras.
You have seven chakras that begin at the base of your spine, travel up your inner axis (spinal column), and end at the crown of your head. Below are the names of each one.
- Muladhara, root chakra
- Svadhisthana, sacral chakra
- Manipura, solar plexus chakra
- Anahata, heart chakra
- Vishuddha, throat chakra
- Ajna, third eye chakra
- Sahasrara, crown chakra
You can visualize your chakras as vibrant spinning wheels, wheels that are attuned to your personal story. From the moment you were conceived, your chakras have been acting as the organizing mangers for the emotions, thoughts, feelings, relationships, and experiences that have shaped your unique story.
Each chakra is connected to a specific part of the body, as well as a specific part of our development, meaning each energy center has it’s own purpose, practices, and properties.

Now as you can imagine, anything that absorbs energetic experiences on a daily basis, also requires some TLC….. just like a car needs an oil change, your chakras also need to be fine tuned and calibrated.
Except the reality is: we are either completely unaware that this energy system exists or too afraid to uncover the self-discovery that needs to take place.
As a result, our chakras become blocked, either in a state of deficiency or excess, causing our entire system to over compensate or at worst, collapse.
And I don’t know about you, but this woman is on a mission to live her journey, and not let the journey live me (aka denial or collapsing is not an option).
This brings me to why we are here today, to service each chakra, and experience a full-body cleanse and connection. Think of this class as your invitation to practice awareness and draw your attention to the radical shifts that are possible (and probable).
Shifts like…..
- Manifesting your ideas and goals onto the earth plane
- Giving yourself permission to play, accept pleasure, and fine tune your emotional wellbeing
- Tapping into your willpower to create sustained change
- Removing the heart armor and inviting love in, hello expansion
- Speaking from an authentic place, one that resonates
- Visualizing a path to pursue and the steps that will guide you
- Acting from a place of integration versus separation, choosing to harmonize with your alignment

As you move through today’s yoga practice, I will invite you to focus on each chakra by drawing your attention to the related area of the body, and slowly introducing you to the seven inner portals that you carry. Don’t worry, you can be brand new to this chakra conversation, and at the end, you’ll have a surface understanding of what’s happening underneath your skin.
Now to be transparent, this one class won’t heal you, solve your imbalances, or make you a chakra guru.
