Daily Wake Up Yoga Routine | Powerful Pranayama Practice

This class provides this! On the mat, I’ll be guiding you through my favorite energizing exercises like spinal twists, bhastrika (bellow’s breath), and kapalbhati (breath of fire).

All breathing exercises ā˜šŸ½ that revive low energy, calm distressful thoughts and feelings, and leave you feeling alert and alive.

I recommend this practice either in the morning or early afternoon to feel focused and recharged…which will only lead to more patience, presence and clarity.

Contraindications: Don’t practice Bhastrika (bellow’s breath) if you’re pregnant, have uncontrolled hypertension, epilepsy, seizures, or panic disorder. Don’t practice Kapalabhati (breath of fire) if you’re pregnant, have high or low blood pressure, coronary heart disease, problems your eyes (e.g., glaucoma), ears (e.g., fluid in the ears), or sinuses (e.g. congestion, nose bleeds).

Now I do want to challenge you, and our entire yoga family here…

If you’re someone who only prioritizes the poses, then I want you toĀ double down on other limbsĀ within the system (like pranayama!).

The poses are powerful, trust me, I know!

My asana practice served as the springboard to a remarkable metamorphosis. It was a crucial stepping stone that my journey needed, and without the poses, I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am.

The posesĀ trained my nervous systemĀ to withstand discomfort and foster resiliency, which was thenĀ repurposed as courageĀ to build a business and sail across an ocean.

But eventually (4 ish years later), I knew there was more to explore.

This is when my exploration of holistic yoga began, and I can truthfully share that my love affair with yoga has only deepened since then.
