Cleanse Your Chakras: 25 Min Full Body Yoga Flow

Welcome to your 30 minute Cleanse Your Chakras Full Body Flow.

In this class we move from root to crown, starting with a moment to anchor and center, before beginning our journey upwards through the system. At each chakra you’ll embrace the essence of the energy center through intentional movement, mindful awareness, and total body connection.

So why cleanse the chakra system anyway?

The chakra system is an ancient one used for centuries by yogis to create mental, spiritual and physical unity. My favorite analogy is to think of the chakras as organizing managers built to handle all your life-force energy through receiving, digesting and expressing everything you experience on a daily basis (kinda crazy, isn’t it). Each chakra is responsible for managing different types of energy, ultimately working together to create unity throughout body, mind and spirit. When left unattended or ignored, these energetic managers can lose their sense of direction, becoming either overworked or under utilized.

That leaves us feeling things like….

  • Emotionally drained.
  • Stuck and unable to connect.
  • Struggling to direct our will power.
  • Feeling disconnected from our inner world.
  • Spinning the wheels over, and over, and over again.

As modern day yogis and human beings this system can guide us to better understand ourselves, ask the tough questions, and manage our power more effectively. To use this system though, we need to clean out the energetic cobwebs, which brings us to the purpose of this full body chakra cleansing yoga practice.

This 30 minute chakra yoga class is intended to help you connect, cleanse and empower each chakra within. The sequence includes poses designed for each chakra. We will move with intention from root to crown and I will cue you to connect with each energy center during the practice.

The class starts at the root by engaging your legs to build stability and ends at the crown with breath work to feel whole and complete. Along this journey we’ll stop for fun at the sacral chakra (you’ll love this squat variation!), pause to breathe love into our heart center, and so much more.
