I’m excited to join you on the mat today with a powerful yoga flow to tap into your inner warrior energy and shift from a feeling of fear to a feeling of empowerment.
Let’s get into the specifics of this flow today, on the mat you’ll build balance with strength, structure & stability as we flow through a body scan in tadasana and variations of warrior I & II for whatever season you find yourself in.

Off the mat, your challenge is to tap into your wisdom body to identify feelings of low self-worth or low self-esteem and begin to weed them out to emerge feeling strong, empowered and confident.
And you know I’m a student and teacher passionate about the power of chanting, mantra and affirmations (this is a practice embraced over in the Body Mind Soul Studio)!
Start today with these affirmations:
- I emerge as a powerful force
- I embrace the warrior who lives within
- I am worthy
- I allow shifts in my attitude
Now to get into some energetics around our warrior selves…
Just like the solar plexus chakra, we are on fire, tapping into our personal power, directing our will onto what matters, and full of positive self-esteem.
This energy is balanced and grounded through our root chakra, muladhara, where I am keeping us focused today. When we are questioning our right to be here, feeling anxious or fearful and in general playing it small, we are tapping into the wound at the root chakra: fear.

Diving deeper into these energetics, as I’m writing this blog post, we in the Northern Hemisphere are moving from the waxing moon into the full moon (today) and into the season of spring (set your calendars, the spring equinox is March 20th). Today’s class is a tribute to the emerging, warrior-like energy of these events. A place to anchor, balance and ground as we transition into the new.
