30 Min Gentle Yoga Stretch for Deep Relaxation

I’m so thankful for this yoga asana class.

While filming this class, it served as a much needed reset button after starting my period & being immersed for hourssss in retreat planning.

This practice is entirely floor-based with several postures that will nourish your legs, hips and low-back region (who doesn’t need that?)…

Followed by two restorative poses where a bolster is recommended…

And ending in stillness with the Dvimukham mudra that helps facilitate deep relaxation (please note, I pronounced the mudra incorrectly while teaching!).

Now let’s chat about when this practice is most effective, because slowing down might not be what you always need.

Gentle, relaxing, restorative yoga classes are great for when you…

  • Feel overstimulated & it’s difficult to focus
  • Feel zapped or depleted from energetic exertion
  • Before bed to signal to the mind that rest is ahead
  • Recovering from illness or injury
  • Easing back into physical movement after a hiatus
  • Feel jittery, anxious or frenetic
