I often say welcome to the mat, but today I’m going to welcome you to a chair or wherever you’re currently seated so we can take a conscious break together.

Now even though I’m an asana teacher, I’m often seated behind a computer for several consecutive hours where I get caught up in the belief that…

I’m not worthy of taking a break, or there’s no time to take a break.

Butttt this new 10 min yoga stretch is here to prove the opposite.

With a simple set of movements and a meaningful intention, we can feel refueled & cared for when our energy begins to wane, and without having to make it an extravagant, over the top experience (which usually leads to overwhelm & inaction).

Here’s what you can expect on the mat:

➡️ Seated practice that can be done from a chair or couch

➡️ Side stretches & twists to release stress & tension

➡️ Forward folds to decompress the spine from sitting

➡️ Seated figure four to stretch those hips!

A moment to pause, breathe and repeat our affirmation – “I am allowed to take breaks.”
